A new Washington, D.C. based law firm offers trademark and branding legal services for intellectual property clients.
District Trademark, new law firm focused on trademarks and brand protection, will be open for business on March 8, 2023. The attorneys at District Trademark counsel clients on their brand and trademark strategy and represent them before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The majority of District Trademark’s legal services consist of trademark prosecution (working with clients to prepare for and apply for federal trademark registration at the USPTO). District Trademark will serve clients nationwide and will offer its most popular legal services, including trademark prosecution, on a flat-fee basis.
The boutique firm will be managed by attorneys Paulina G. Proper and Angela G. Shin, who have each been practicing law since 2007. District Trademark’s co-founders bring a breadth of business and legal knowledge to their new roles, having worked for AmLaw 200 firms and represented U.S. industry leaders. According to Ms. Shin, “District Trademark will bridge the gap between big law firm talent and small-firm flexibility, allowing our legal team to provide both exceptional counsel and an excellent value to our clients.”
Ms. Proper states, “At District Trademark, brand protection is all we do. Our clients get the benefit of attorneys who live and breathe trademarks. Our narrow focus allows us to spend time on the nuances of trademark law. We are passionate about what we do, and we believe it shows in the depth of knowledge and sophistication we bring to our legal work.”
The District Trademark legal team offers complementary introductory meetings to potential clients. For more information on the firm, visit District Trademark’s website at www.district-trademark.com.
